Day 1: Arrival in Dharamshala
Your journey begins as you arrive in Dharamshala, a beautiful hill station in Himachal Pradesh, surrounded by dense cedar forests and the Dhauladhar mountains. After checking into your hotel, spend the day exploring some local sights. Visit the scenic Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, one of the highest in the world, and the War Memorial, a peaceful site honoring fallen soldiers. In the evening, take a stroll through Kotwali Bazaar, where you can browse local shops and enjoy a quiet dinner at a nearby café. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 2: Exploring McLeod Ganj and Surroundings
After breakfast, head to McLeod Ganj, a nearby suburb known for its Tibetan culture and spiritual ambiance. Visit the Namgyal Monastery and the Dalai Lama Temple Complex to experience the calm and meditative atmosphere. From there, proceed to Bhagsunag Temple and Waterfall, a popular and refreshing spot nestled in the hills. You can also visit the serene St. John in the Wilderness Church, located in a dense forest. Later in the day, drive to Naddi View Point to enjoy panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range. In the evening, explore the Tibetan Market for souvenirs, handicrafts, and traditional clothing. Day 3: Drive from Dharamshala to Dalhousie
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin the drive to Dalhousie, which takes about 4 to 5 hours. The journey is scenic, with winding roads through pine and deodar forests. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax for a while. Later, explore some of Dalhousie’s main attractions such as Subhash Baoli, a tranquil spot surrounded by trees and history, and Gandhi Chowk, the town’s central hub. You can also visit St. Francis Church, known for its colonial architecture. Spend the evening walking along the Mall Road and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

Day 4: Day Trip to Khajjiar
Today, enjoy a day trip to Khajjiar, located about 22 kilometers from Dalhousie. Often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland of India,” Khajjiar is known for its lush green meadows, dense forests, and the charming Khajjiar Lake. You can visit the ancient Khajji Nag Temple and enjoy activities like horse riding, zorbing, or simply walking through the beautiful landscape. If time allows, stop by the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary on your way back, which offers scenic trails and opportunities to spot wildlife. Return to Dalhousie in the evening. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your return journey. Depending on your onward travel plans, you can head to Pathankot Railway Station, Amritsar Airport, or Kangra Airport. If time permits, you may also visit Chamera Lake for a short boat ride before departure, making for a refreshing end to your Himalayan getaway.
